The Main Story

The plot for this hilarious movie was inspired by a true story that happened to Tripp Vinson, a friend of the executive producer Chris Bender. Vinson had gone missing from his bachelor party, blacking out and waking up in a strip club threatened and held responsible for a massive bill.

In The Hangover, this quartet wakes up to find their friend missing and no memory of the previous night’s events. Stu’s tooth is missing, their suite is in complete disarray, there’s a tiger in their bathroom, a baby in their closet and more importantly, they have the impossible task of finding the groom before the wedding can take place.

The movie proceeds with the friends searching for the groom and revisiting the places they visited the night before, in an attempt to piece together the night’s events and track down Doug.

The Ending

They eventually find Doug in the nick of time and with no flights available to Los Angeles, the four drive home to make the wedding. They arrive late, but Doug and Tracey are married in the end.

The Hangover shows the debauchery four guys can commit in Vegas in one night and it’s filled with the glitz and glamour that attracts all sorts to this gambling mecca. It’s no wonder they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!
